Very pleased to join....for over 10 years I have found humour, information and help on this forum. I learned to surf in the refreshing waters of the North Atlantic, on a 9 ft Bic. Best birthday gift ever. Since then have surfed and been coached in Costa Rica, Tofino, Puerto Rico (one time) returning every summer to the home breaks of Nova Scotia. The long boards live here, the shorter ones live on the Guanacaste peninsula. I think of myself as a constant beginner due to months out of the water followed by as many sessions as possible when I arrive at any ocean.
My favourite idea about surfing, and life..."the ocean rewards commitment". courtesy of my surf coach who manages to sum up multiple technical ideas in one aphorism...happy to share more...anyway, glad to join and thanks for keeping this community going for so long.
