Hey all!

My name is Scott, and I am new to the forums here! I've been an avid surf fan since I was a kid, and finally was able to get out and catch my first wave together with my oldest son over the summer. We are both hooked and already planning out next trip over to California!

I have a question, and wondering where the best place to make this post is. I am a current graduate student at National University out of San Diego, and have a research project I am proposing, and need all you surfers interested to help me with some qualitative research (filing out a questionnaire). If it is okay with the moderators, I would love the opportunity to perform this within the forum.

Thank you in advance! And hopefully I can catch you on some waves soon.

-Scott

Hi Scott, welcome to the world of surfing.
It can be rewarding for you and your son, have fun doing that.

With surveys and the like we place them in shoredump, the forum members, then respond as they wish.

Since you had the courtesy to ask first, many don’t. My thoughts are your project needs to have some genuine factors, not just be a demographic marketing survey, or this is my neat idea for an app survey.
Demonstrate the quality of your work and replies will come.

Suggestion there are several surveys you can look at that are still in shoredump, will yours be like one of those?
You can see for yourself, our responses and number of replies!

Cheers enjoy your surfing.

Hi Jaffa!

And thank you for welcoming me to the forums and world of surfing!

I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction, and I will review the current postings there, and if my planned research varies from those already posted.

If there is a need for my idea, I will present it there with as much information as I can about the research project.

I will continue to browse these forums as I have much to learn!

Cheers,

Scott
