Surfing Waves

I'm headed out to socal for the week tomorrow and gonna stay with some buddies who live close to venice and although they dont surf, I cant just go to socal and not surf ya know. I was wondering tho what size wetsuit I should bring? I got a 2/2 and a 4/3 and only have room for one so I was wondering how cold it gets out there. Also, I'm not bringing my own board cause I dont have a bag and dont wanna pay to check it, so I was just gonna rent one for a couple days. Does anyone know of a place that rents boards for a couple days for a decent price? Thanks

3/2 minimum but 4/3 would do as well.
