Posted: Wed Jan 31, 2018 10:32 amHi guys! I recently signed up to this forum and I really enjoy spending time here. I try to squeese in as many surfsessions as I can between work and family life. Have been surfing for about 15 years. I started off with a BIC 7'3 and replaced it waaay to soon with a Santa Cruz 6'3 shortboard. After a couple of years with almost only paddling I went back to a 7'0 poly minimal, then to a 6'6 poly funboard. Now I use a bit smaller boards. I also fly-fish and hunt because it sooths my urge to surf;-)
I am really interested in ding-repair, since there is almost only one guy that can do it where I live. Have been repairing my own and friends boards with various results, both epoxy and poly-boards. I find EPS-foam and epoxy really hard to deal with. And I have to order all the materials from international companies, and the freight+taxes costs are at least twice the price of the original product itstelf. I bought 1L of epoxy resin for a while back and it basically cost 1/4 of a new surfboard.
I work as an ophthalmic optician, and would be happy to answer any issues regarding surfing and our eyes (I work in a family buisness, but will answer without bias and commercial interests.)
