Surfing Waves

Hi everyone,

My Name is Simone from Austria and I love boardsports (snowboarding, long boarding, surfing).
Well surfing in Austria is not really possible except on one river (river surfing).

Some days left and I´ll be heading for the first time to the US for a short trip (Miami).
I definitely wanna surf in Florida.
So I need recommendations for Surfschools (need a Advanced Beginner/Intermediate lesson) in Miami Beach or around.

Hi Simone, I have just come back from Salzkammergut looking for the Mysto Austrian Point Break, you will have more luck in Florida just google surf schools near where you are stay, there is one that has posted near Cape Carnaveral , but I don't know what any of them are like, maybe some of our longtime Florida forum crew can help you have fun!

I`m staying at a Hotel in Miami Beach.
Ok I will check the local surf schools.
What about sharks? I know typical question from a European girl but I´m a bit afraid.

I can't speak personally for the Sharks but I haven't been attacked by them in 58 years of surfing. The Miami freeways are probably more dangerous!
