Hello, My name is Rashidt, the 't' is silent but it's there.

TL;DR Part

I'm a senior mechanical engineering student, me and my group are working on a surfboard with a jet engine (kinda like a jet surf?)
we don't know anything about surfboards and wanted your inputs.

The boring long part

So, Mechanical engineering students are required to create something new or improve something that already exists yada yada...
during the brainstorming for ideas, Surfboard with a jet engine sounded fun and stupid. which is rad!

First off, what do you think of the idea as a final project kinda deal?
Is it practical?
uuh.. Is it stupid? should we go through with it?
what should I take into consideration before building the damn thing? scientifically speaking, or any way of speaking

your input will greatly help me in my research. you guys are the experts
and please be brutally honest with me I can take criticism.

....you were aware this was an existing product right? I found out in 45seconds......

I'm not a mechanical engineer but as long as we're talking about fun and stupid, why not take a shot at getting us out to the lineup faster?
