Hello and Aloha ! Recently moved from Hawaii to Japan. 80% long 20% short. Been dealing with the surf culture here ( and wearing a wetsuit ! ). But still surf about once a week.

Moved from Hi to CA (Santa Cruz) about 2 years ago. Cold water sucks. The days of just sitting in the line up and enjoying the day are gone. Every duck dive, wipeout or turtle roll are miserable. Getting used to a 4-3 wetsuit takes time. Pop ups have to be adjusted because you can't feel that you caught the wave as well as wearing shorts only. Nonetheless, I am still surfing so life is good just not as good as having warm water line ups. Man, I miss Hawaii - 5-6 more years and I am heading back

Honestly! What is that matter with you all!
Come to the UK, I spend my summer in a 1-2mm shorty suit, and have even surfed in boardies.
toughen up!
