Surfing Waves

Hello, my name is Maya, i'm from latin america (i'm not going to say from which country i am because it's not really safe here and i just don't want anyone to know where i'm from... I hope it's ok) I just started doing some SUP and Paddle surf, i've been SUP like 7 times and SUP/ Paddle surf 2, and i still surf while on my knees (except one time) because where i've been surfing there's a reef and it's kinda dangerous.

I've only catched like three waves 'cause what I do is to ask the teacher to take me past the reef and when i'm about to go to the shore it's when i catch the waves... My first wave (the one i wasn't on my knees) i was like *O* and it was only a few seconds But in my second wave (when i was on my knees) OH.MY.GOD it was soo long; first i went left, then right and then left again i was going soo fast then i looked at my sides and the wave was huge! (well for me being a beginner it was huge but i think it was like 2.5ft- 3 ft high only) i was so excited and the teacher got excited too and we both started to scream and.... WOW. i have no words to describe how i felt.

Well, i'm hoping i can learn alot about surfing in this forum and get to get along with you guys.
