Hi all,

I live in Norway and I've just start surfing. So, I am really a beginner.

The funny thing is that I am Portuguese and I never tried surf back home. I am learning and doing here in Norway :)

Thats probably because you are sensible and think surfing amongst the ice bergs is a bit rash.

But apparently it gets some great waves, straight from the Arctic. As an added bonus, in summer you can surf at midnight, so no need to sneak in a 1/2 surf before work.

Looking it up, the water temp at the moment ie summer solstice or so is 11.2 def C (about 52F) Gets up to 15C (60C) in mid summer and down to 5C in winter. 15C I could cope with, but not being english, or norwegian, under that and its not for me.

As a comparison, Hawaii water temp is currently 27.9C (82F).
