Surfing Waves

Hey all,
I'm new here and surfing. Gonna be posting looking for info on a vintage longboard I might purchase, would that just go in the longboard forum or is there somewhere better for info seeking on types of boards etc?

Now that I have a little more time, let me properly introduce myself.
I'm Derrick, from Rhode Island. I'm 31 and have been surfing a handful of times in the last year. My wife bought me lessons for my 30th birthday after tiring of me talking about wanting to surf.
The first time I went out I cracked a rib, but still managed to get up twice, and I loved every minute of it.
Can't wait to get back out there this summer!

Welcome dude! You are already on a good platform by still staying stoked even after cracking a rib ...keep us updated with your progress and with regards to the longboard, post a pic in the longboard forum and the many chaps that longboard will give you their advice.
