Hello new to the forum!

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and glad that I found this site. This place is a wealth of information for surfing.
My name is Eric, and I am from Georgia (the U.S.) up near Atlanta. I am pushing 40 years old, weigh 180ish pending the weekend party, and am 6-2 tall. I surf the east coast of Florida every chance I get. This is usually at Jacksonville beach, Ponte Vedra, and St Augustine area. With that said my chances are not often enough. I have had two surfing trips this year so far, but when I go it is all I do for 4-7 days all day. I usually make about 6 trips a year.
I grew up in the skateboard realm as a kid, and always wanted to surf. I had planned on moving to Melbourne Beach Fl at one time, but it just never came together. Soon life stepped in and my surfing goal was on hold. I hate it that my surfing journey didn't start 20 years ago, but instead 3 years ago.
I consider myself an amateur/intermediate in my surfing abilities. I truely love this sport, and not a day passes that I am not thinking about it or am not checking the surf report of where I normally go. I plan to relocate to the coast within the next two years so I can live out my life doing what I love...and hopefully become that "silver surfer" lol.
I currently surf an old rozo board (7'x22.5x2.5) the most. I bought it used 3 years ago. Its a hybrid/fun shape, and is great for pretty much anything in Fl. The board is 25 years old btw. I also have a 6' 8x 21.5x2.5 epoxy shortboard shaped by Clay Bennett that I am having a hard time with in the small surf. I picked the board up last surf trip. The waves were tiny, but after struggling with the Bennett board for days it made my surfing much better on my Rozo board.
I have rambled long enough. I look forward to the knowledge I will gain here at this forum, and sharing what little I know and /or learn too. Thanks
