cheers guys, first time in one of these. You sound like me. Can`t steer yet , so hate surfing anywhere near kids, n profesionals. Still have a good laugh though.

Hi all,

Just joined the site so thought i'd say 'ello.

Bracklsham and Wittering are the spots i visit most as they're just down the road. Have been surfing for a while and just getting back into it.

Picked up a really nice board to get me going again:

I also managed to pick up so very cool boots. But someone told me they weren't quite right for surfing and others would laugh. Let 'em laugh!

Bryan 35 somerset UK started surfing when i was 15 girlfriend at the time didn't like sitting on the beach for hours on end so i quit!!!!!!!(should have quit the girlfriend)

just bought myself new board and wetsuit (which i still haven't used due to no transport) but new girlfriend loves the beach (woolacombe, saunton, etc) and has a car wooohoooo

hey folks! new to the forum and love it! some great info and links here. im Rob and this whole surfing gig is new to me. had a few lessons a REALLY like it. currently looking for a board so i can go out when ever and stop be antzy about setting lessons and waiting for them, but im happy to say i picked up my own wetsuit today (...glad to be out of those rentals :shock:

hi there,

thought i`d better introduce myself as i`ve been posting on other threads and only just noticed this one!

i`m mike, just started surfing last september, been going up to saunton at least once a month if possible - based in dorchester near weymouth so its a couple of hours drive :-)

i`m getting used to the waves being empty of people at the moment - went a couple of weeks back and there was only about 4 of us in there - i guessing the summer months might be a bit busier - oh well - better get my turning sorted out for then!
