i think thats what makes this forum so much better than many other. for the most part, everyone is really chill and doesnt ride people for repeat post and other stuff that make people explode on other forums. great all around attitude :D

Hey, I'm Ashley. 24, female, currently living in the Houston/Galveston area. It's a step up from growing up in Chicago as far as surfing goes, but I'd love to move to San Diego one of these days. : )

Just got my first longboard so I'm looking forward to learning to surf and meeting people on the forum!

Postby Jersey(C.I)_surferU.K » Sat Nov 12, 2005 8:23 pm

Hi

Since i'm new here i shall say a few thing's about my self. First off im 21 male from jersey channel islands U.K (first place in europe to be surfed), anyone visited or surfed here? I first surfed in austrialia when i was 15 but never got into it, then i went to cornwall newquay (the first place ever to be surfed in england in 1935 i think) and i was hooked. Since then iv been surfing for almost 2 years and still loving it, i ride a 9'1" oceanmagic and a 7'2" almerick. iv also done a fair bit of travelling and recently (well a good 6 months ago) was sufing in indonesia. I only stayed in baliand the places i mainly surfed was kuta beach and dreamlands any1 been there? Anyway's enough about me i just want to meet and chat to fellow surfer's so drop me a message. Take it easy

Hi,
I'm Tim... 24 years old. I'm in the Navy and live in Portsmouth, although I'm originally from Trinidad. My main sport is windsurfing, but I've been surfing on and off since I was 16. I really enjoy the sport, but don't get to do it as often as I would like to. Hopefully a move down to Plymouth next year will mean I will be able to do more surfing, and also windsurfing in better waves!!

Hi all,

New to surfing, new to this site! Just thought I'd say Hi, introduce myself.

Recently moved to New Zealand (Sumner, Chch) from the UK (north west) and a friend lent me a 9'1" mal a few weeks ago and gave me a few tips/lessons, since then I've been out 3-4 times a week (beach a short walk away! sweet).

Not quite standing up yet but getting there, most fun I've had in ages tho.

Anyho - this looks a cool place to hang out and chat.

Rob.

(ooops - sorry for posting in the wrong place!!)

About Myself: 27 years old; recently relocated to the North of Portugal from Wollongong, Australia…

My Board: Currently ridding a 9'6" traditional single fin longboard/malibu (what ever you choose to call it); Volan glass on top from just above the centre point to the back of the board and rails top to bottom. Ceder stringer complete with wooden nose and tail block. Only made the switched to longboards within the last 3 years... find them much more appealing at this stage in my life!

Further information: Is available at my web site including pictures of my board: http://www.geocities.com/gregsmith1978 .
