I am mad?
Posted: Thu Aug 02, 2007 11:58 amI've just started surfing...had 3 lessons so far, but am popping up fine, and starting to do frontside turns...although the foamies in the school seem unresponsive. Back in the day I used to skateboard & rollerblade so balance isn't a problem. I'm 6"1 and 80kgs.
I've just gone out a bought a fibreglass board of my own - 6"8 x 20 5/8 x 2.5. The guy in the shop said that with a month of hard work this would be a nice board that I'd never need to sell. I live 10 mins from strandhill in ireland and intend going a few times a week. I am mad to start on this type of board??
