candle wax can work?

Hey...some ppl tell me i can use candle wax instead surf wax like bumps and those brands...thts rite??i mean candle wax can be effective as those surf wax sold??thanks

You can use bubble gum, tar, peanut butter, etc. Whatever floats your boat.

buy 100 packs of bubble gum chew them break them up and spreed them on your board

it works really really well

Or to save ever having to wax your board again, just coat the deck in epoxy resin, let it get tacky and then pour a load of sand all over it......

ahh man, just in case you are serious....please dont use candlewax, there is a very good reason surf wax was invented!

If, in the name of science you do decide to go down the bubblegum route - can you post pics of your attempt please? :D

surf wax is specially formulated for certain water temperatures. candle wax is not, so it could end up just falling off when your paddleing around. bubble gum does not have this problem, and is probably the best alternative. :D
