is my board screwed?

My friend just gave me this board, and it looks like it's got lots of repairs done, on the front side there are these bruises which don't look too good to me. there's no dings or anything, but some parts are soft when you press against them. opinions?

You could bring that back to life. It'll never look too flash, but it's probably saveable.

Just get a big pot of resin, dig out the soft parts, fill them up with resin, if they're not too big. If there's pressure dings with cracks in them, just sand the area down a bit, and put some resin over it to seal it.

The nose looks a bit knackered, could probably do with a rebuild. Just cut out all of the smashed glass, and waterlogged foam. Get a new chunk of foam and scarf it into the hole, sand it to shape, and glue it in place with a bit of resin, then glass over the top.

Seal up all the little holes and cracks with resin, digging out any splintered or broken glass first.

As long as the thing is watertight it will be fine to use.

i have some boards in far worse condition (look wise but water tight) and still preform great. You shouldnt worry too much about how it looks at this stage just get it watertight and you are good to go

yea im not really worried about the looks, rather the soft spots that feel like they have air in them or something.
