To give you a little background info, i've been surfing for 2 years, and thanks to the help of some nice guys i know, never had to buy a board and tried out dozens. I tried longboards, fish, hybrid fish, shortboard, everything. I Most enjoyed the shortboard cuz i felt like i had so much freedom on the wave not lugging around some giant thing, so thats what I'm looking to get. I've gotten decent at surfing, and can consistently drop into 4 ft. faces and do a little cutback and ride the face. I surf in waves that range from waste high, to overhead in storms. I did some research and http://cisurfboards.com/sb_flyerF.asp looked like the right board for me. My only question is what size should i get it in, and should I get epoxy or the regular type. I weigh 135 lbs, and am about 5'7''.

I just got a new Al Merrick and am your height and weight. I was looking at a few of their models and I went with a 6'0'' K board. The flyer just had too much volume for me. I have tried my friends flyer which is 6'2'' and it surfed pretty easily on a thigh high waves. If your still growing then you might want to go a little bigger like a 6'0''so you can use it for a while. If your not growing then I would recommend a 5'9'' or a 5'10''. If you want to ask them then you can email them at Amanda@cisurfboards.com
