hey guys
went out surfing today with my brand new board (anacapa tri-fish 6'3") and after the first or second wave flipped my board over and noticed the fin had snapped off. and unfortunately it wasnt just the fin that had snapped but it had actually snapped out a part of the uhm 'plug hole' that the fin sits in. so i was just wondering if its possible to repair? obviously ill be needing a new fin but can i put a new 'plug hole' in? i dont think its damaged the actual board though.
(p.s. sorry if the 'plug hole' actually has a name)
thanks
pete

Do you mean the actual fin plug has come out, where they FCS, futures, glass on fins?

dude that happened to me the second time I ever went surfing and it really blows  . I had FCS fins but I was able to bring it to a surf shop and get the plug replaced for a fair sum of cash. I was lucky though, as soon as I noticed the damage I got my board out of the water and dried the area before water got into the foam and systematically destroyed my board from the inside out. Good Luck to ya, hopefully you can get it fixed.

Yeah, massive annoyment!
They are fcs fins.
And half the plug that the fin sits in has snapped out, but i dont think its damaged the actual foam part of the board.
Good to hear that its not just me its happened to!
I guess ill just take it into a shop sometime and hopefully they can sort it out!
Cheers guys

You can buy a FCS repair kit over here for about £16, and its not hard to do yourself so i'm sure the same will be available over there. Good Luck.
