GoPro Digital Hero 3 waterproof camera

I did a search, and I couldn't find any threads dedicated to the little gadget. Note, that this is about the newer model which supports 54 minutes of continuous 640x480/30fps video with a 2GB SD card.

Can somebody here give a personal review on the camera? Like how easy was it to paddle with it strapped on and while you were trying to get some up-close action video/shots of your buddies. Or, have you tried wrapping it around your neck for some first-person video?

The performance of the sample shots/footage at the official website (http://www.goprocamera.com) seem acceptable for the features we get and for the pricetag, but it would be nice to see some unbiased samples.

I've been looking at that camera as well. I think that it might work pretty well. The big thing I would be concerend about is how it handles the bright sun bouncing off the water. Lots of glare out there. But I think the idea is solid. If I see any reviews, I'll let you know.

Anybody have actual AVI files that came straight from the camera? The company websites have sample footage, but those were converted to flash video (which is a step in degradation of quality).

I thought this post was about a new playstation game.
