summer board & question about a quad

Postby surfsc77 » Fri Apr 20, 2007 1:34 am

im starting to think about a board i can use this summer, and i was wondering how small i could go on a fish. a lot of them are really wide and im pretty skinny, but i wanted to check with some other people first. im 6' 3" and about 170 pounds. the smallest board ive ever tried riding was a 6 6 which worked perfectly. how small can i go?

now for your consideration

also theres a quad fish about that size at my local shop. its a quad, which i have no experience with. whats up with those? thanks for your responces :D

Generally you can go 4-6" shorter than your normal shortboard.

A quad will hold more during carves...it won't slide like a twin.

And, the link you posted is of a modern version of a fish. It has a small swallow tail.
