Well, I kinda meant that all fishes have wide noses!
But they do vary from completely rounded to 'a bit pointed'. I'd say that one isnt especially wide/rounded. Thats quite a modern shape ie is basically fishy but has a few characteristics taken from a shortboard (the slightly pointy nose).
Ive got a similar 6'6 fish (mine's a bit more shortboard, bit less fish) and its not especially easy to paddle. The volume advantage is removed by the weight of the surfer (ie me, also fairly big) sinking the board enough that the fat nose has to push through the water.
Catching waves is easy - that wide tail will catch anything, and lean right over the nose and you're up and riding. But paddling out, across a current, or in choppy conditions can be hard work pushing that wide nose forward through the water.
But for summer conditions - assuming you're not doing a mammoth paddle out, or needing to duckdive beasts of whitewater - they're perfect. As long as a) you can ride them (they can be quite wobbly!) and b) you put the effort in to paddle.
Ah summer days on a fish... heaven... roll on summer...
