Surfing Waves

Hows it going all!

I had another thread with a related topic but i htought i make a new one incase no1 saw the older one . I have my eye on a 6"8 Circle one xpose.......the new ones are 19 inches wide and 2 1/4 inch thick. But i recently was talking to a guy selling one for cheaper but it was 21 wide thick and 2 1/2inch. I dunno what to take the 21 inch seems to just be a smaller mini mal as its the same width as my 7 3 mal and as thick aswell. I dont wana have to upgrade again in a few months. Would like to hear peoples opinions on them . I know the second hand one wud be easier to ride cos of the thickness but i dont mind putting in some extra work for the 19inch new board. 19" x 2 1/4 doesnt sound like much fun!

Kinda depends on how good you are, how often you surf and what your waves are like...

19 vs 21 inch?

2" might not sound a lot (*insert double entendre here*) but thats a huuuge difference. And then theres the thickness...

It doesnt sound like either of these boards are right for you.

This is the baord nearly every1 has told me to go for. the surf can be pritty good here, im moving over to the west (of ireland) in may to strandhill so the surf is grand. If i get the 21 inch im afraid ill have to upgrade again in a while ye know?

well iv got a 6'6" by 21" by 3", and i must says it extremily good on perfromance, but it is an egg and thats what they where made for.
west of ireland has alot of big waves and reef breaks i think, so the 19" would be better for the waves i think, but a 21" should be able to handle it just as good

Cheers man!Ye if u havent been to the west of Ireland, itd be a good spot for a surfing weekend, places like Sligo are supposed to be fairly buzzing in the summer.

it will take a little biy extra to get going. But if you surf very frequently i'd say why not. It's good to have several boards in ya quiver.

Going out 3-5 times a week is really good; it's the "if there's good surf" that makes a difference.

Good intentions are one thing; actually being able to go out all the time is another...


I go out all time when there's good surf too, but the problem is that it doesn't happen as often as I'd like. So, I end up not progressing as fast as someone who lives near more consistent better formed waves.

Ah ye, im about 10 mins from a good surfing beach, usually get alot of surfers down from Dublin on the weekends. Ahh tis normally good surf here,cept for this week : (
