One more wetsuit question - water leakage in the wrists...

Tried out my new O'Neill 4/3 Heat this weekend for the first time. The fit is absolutely right except for one thing - I have very skinny wrists compared to the rest of me, and a bit of water tends to get in through the sleeze. It's not really that bad, but it's enough to annoy me when crashing into a large wave. I was thinking about maybe some extra velcro straps around the wrists to tighten it up a bit. Would this work?

I don't think I need a smaller size, since the rest of the suit fits just right.

Bit of tape? An elastic band? Velcro straps?

I am not really sure because I rarely use a wetsuit   , but I presume anything that will hold tight enough without coming off and sometihng that won't kill blood circulation!

Velcro straps sound like they might work, tho velcro stops being as sticky when it's been wet for a while. Try it and see? :)

You can always get it tailored in. Go to a place that makes custoum suites and see what they will charge you. Aleeda in HB makes custom suites

i had the same problem when i was a teenager, you can get velcro straps from most surf shops and they do work. They make them fro the ankles of dry and semi-drysuits, i stll use mine to keep my mitts on cos they have ridiculously big cuffs.
