help! wax in dad's carseat
How can I remove it. I have tryed to rub it but it only makes it worst.
Please help me. My dad is very pissed of.

P.S.: I know, I need to buy a sock.

Ooo that's gonna be tricky. Recomend you rub some wax into an old teeshirt and try various different solvents on it and see if any of them remove it. Meths, white spirits, acetone. If one of them works and doesn't ruin the tee shirt them you could use that one on the car seat.

scrape (gently) the wax off, and then use some saw dust, and rub it in. However, then you have to get up all the saw dust.

Cloth or leather seats? Cloth will be much tougher

not sure about the difference between sex wax and candle wax but the way to get rid of candle wax is to cover the wax patch with a paper towel (like you get from public toilets) and put an iron over the top. The wax will melt and soak into the paper towel.

ha you beat me to it, that was gonna be my sneaky suggestion Sar!!!

THere is a liquid called goof off. THat takes it right out. I have used it to take it off off car seats carpet ect. By the way it also takes out gum. Try it in a not so obvious place first to make sure there is no discoloration. It has worked everytime for me.

my friend told me to use flour to take wax off.
never tried, he says it works wonders!

Sounds like the same idea as shaping dust. Getting wax off isn't hard, it's just that after you get it off, you rub it back in uncontrollably. That's why dust, flour, etc, sticks to the wax and makes it not sticky so it just comes right off.

Good call on the paper towel / Iron suggestion. That works for wax. Although I've only tried it on a sofa and a matress before now, not a car seat.

Dont stress! Just go to those car accessorie places like Halfords and buy a spray bottle of upholstory / carpet cleaner. Most car places sell stuff like this. Spray on the foam, brush it in GENTLY with a scrubbing brush and leave to dry then vacum off. Repeat if neccessary!

Had same problem - the decision was pretty easy - upholstery cleaning service)) we have a lot of them in miami

I think in 12 years they may have new cars by now!

haha, I have an old opel vectra 1995 for 16 years and satisfied with that. But, interior upholstery has to be cleaned with professional equipment. But which one is better?

Dude, just type upholstery cleaning or simmilar and you will find a lot of companies.
