If epoxy boards are so great why dont the pros use them?

I personaly think the real reason why people like epoxys is because they are a strong board. They are a littel stiffer then a fiberglass board. Pros are not as concerned about strength as they are the ride. They get replacement boards for free.

the pros get through boards like wild fire, it is alot cheaper to just get plain fiberglass ones

it doesnt matter if they go through them fast since they get them for free from sponsers. fiberglass is also slightly more responsive, iand i have yet to see a gun made of epoxy.

Fiberglass tends to be lighter, and it's more responsive.
Also, if your used to having flex in a board...it's difficult to change.
Saying that I watched Mark Healey at Pipe on an epoxy shortboard!

The boards the pro surfers use are made using less glass than your average board you get from a surf shop, thats also why they break them more often.
