Leash Question!

So I just got a new Surftech Robert August and after I left the shop, I noticed that there is no plug for a leash! What the heck! Anyway, I noticed that there appears to be a hole in the board where a fin screw may go through perhaps. It's in the little slot where the center fin stays. I took my nylon leash cord and sort of knotted it on one side, threaded it through the bottom of the board (so the knot is stuck in the fin groove) and then attached the leash on the other side...

is this OK?

what gives! Thanks!

My last 3 boards were set up like that. My next board which should be ready in a couple weeks will have a good old traditional leash cup. Wont be no fin box on this board. Glass on all the way.
