Im looking to buy the Balin Bag to use with my 7.6" Mal when i go abroad.
Im thinking of using it to transport all my clothes and bits in also.
Do you think its up to the task?

Yes - this is a good bag. 10mm is what you are after (without opting for a hard case). This bag has plenty of room for all your gear. Just be careful packing stuff in it that could damage your board - clothes and wettie will be fine.
