Balance boards

Postby Beachbum » Mon Jul 24, 2006 8:54 pm

I was wondering how those balance boards on land were? Its my birthday coming up soon and parents are asking what I want to get and I'm not sure :? . Since I dont go surfing all the time maybe that balance board will keep my up to date and maybe I'll ask for a sector 9 board as well if thats not to expensive.

I used an indo board that belonged to my friend in Oz and it helped my surfing quite a lot and quite quickly. I bought one about four weeks ago and I'm now totally addicted

I'm going surfing for the first time since I got back to the UK next weekend so I'll keep you posted on if it's helped any more

Yep Indo Board is a ballance board, cost here £120ish I think for the most expensive model Indo Board - and thats why I don't have one, christ its a new wetty or a new skateboard! Seriously consider making your own if you have to have one.

So should I try to make one since I seen the Indo Board go for around $100 :x . Maybe I'll just ask for a new skateboard to learn how to carve better and what not do you know any good ones in mind?

Another option instead of the Indo (actually looks better, but I've never tried it). I don't know about trying to build your own though.

Dam you Drift those top two boards are awesome but the first one is too expensive  and the balance360 I would have asked my parents but we would have to pay oversea shipping which is $70... Do you know any other links to balance boards or nice carving boards.

imho the best carving skateboard is one using these trucks -
http://www.carverskateboards.com/

check out the videos on that site, especially the one with the full size thruster deck and the guy carving around his house.

Ive heard they go best on a stiff deck around 40" and ive already planned my setup with them, getting one as soon as the red bills ease up and allow me some spare cash.
