Ive been surfing for not that long now but find myself past the fun board stage, i ahve riden my friends 6"3 WRV Fish and got adjusted to that rather quickly so i was wondering wat some recommendations for a new board that would fit my intermediate skill level

Here s the op for a stock reply....

ok Welcome to the forum first off! ;p

Secondly, what are your stats etc... cause with out them there is no point in even suggesting anything,

Thirdly, at the end of the day its down to you and how you feel your surfing is progressing. Have a search in the forum (using the search function --> https://surfing-waves.com/forum/search.php ) and you'll find alot of similar threads.

Moving from the fun board sizes (round the 7'2" mark etc with wider rails etc) to somthing shorter, thiner etc is a big jump but from the sounds of it you've taken a taste on a shorter board and feel comfortable....

unless your very small and light think about something in the longer end of the shortboard scale. Thrusters are generally less wide and less thick than you used too = less volume. You may be ok to ride a shorter board but the added volume of sometihng a bit longer will help you paddle faster and therefore catch waves easier. More waves = quicker progress and more fun.

if you have a local shop which has a shaper that works for them have a chat with them. Its in their interest to give you good advice as you may come back to them for a custom when you get your next board.
