help me please

Hello all. I have surfed alot with rentals and beginers boards and what not. I think i would be cheaper in the long-run and less of a hasle to just get my own, what should i get? I am 5"4'-5"5' feet and about 130. East coast waves like north and south carolina, maryland, virginia, maybe floridia soon, but thats a far drive. Help me please, thank you

im not sure how the surf is around your area, but for beginners, it's better to start wiht a longer, wider and thicker board, best bet is a longboard, or a funboard(mini-mal), check the forum for more tips, this is a common question, goodluck!!

if you want to get into short boarding go for a about in the 7ft range, but if you want to get into longboarding get a board thats 9ft and over, but not to much over or it will be a hard to handle.

What kinds of boards have you rented? What did you like? Are you looking to get into shortboarding or longboard (or both)?

umm i'm rented those foam boards a popout or 2 and a mini-mal, but i want to get into short boarding.
