Heres 1 for you's...........................
What would be the outcome if i was to take the 3 fcs's off my 7'6 custom minimal and replace them with just 1 longboard style fin.
Also on the same lines what about using just the 2 outerfins or going real crazy and just have the central fin.
Please bear in mind that this is not for 'serious' surf but just the rubbish 2-3ft mush of pembrokeshire. :D

Sorry 1 more quick Q.
What would the comedy value be of taking all fins off?

I do believe a single centre fin will give better stability, 3 fins more manoeuvrability and no fins basically you're surfing on a balsa plank.

Best bet dude is to just give it a go, can't hurt, you might even find a set up that is more comfortable for your style!

You'll have to give it a go to find out.... but probably something like this...

One longboard fin - pretty stable, good for slow turns, not so great for snappy turns.

One 'normal' fin - very wobbly.

Two outer fins - will be nice and loose for turns, but likely to lack drive

No fins - will slide about on the wave something awful, wont hold a turn, let alone hold it in the face

Dont waste time on a classic day, but if its only average surf, then give it a go - it'll teach you loads :D
