Wax and Art problem

Postby Looney Wang » Wed Dec 21, 2005 11:57 am

Hey everyone...

I just got a sweet ...lost fish with sean spoto artwork on it...used...but 'tis a lovely board.

There are a few problems: The art on the board is slowly starting to come off. There is also wax over the art.

I feel that if I use any type of cleaner or acetone, the art will come off. I dunno, but the scraping method my scrape the paint off too.

Any suggestions?

Also, say i do get the wax off without ruining the artwork. Is there anything out there i can put on the art in order to keep it from coming off?

Gratzi...

once you get ALL of the wax off, you can spray it with clear acrylic spray. it'll seal it good. there are plenty of post about getting wax off in different ways, just search
