Latest advancements - they're sooooo much warmer and more flexible than a decade ago! :D

As for which one - the o'neill psycho II is supposedly one of the best about. Didnt fit me though so Ive got the Ripcul Elasto (or something like that) which is perfect (although Ive heard complaints about the seams. Mine are fine). 8)

I use a Quicksilver Cell 3/2 in winter here. Love it. Dead-simple, only about 3 panels, minimal stitching, good windproof top section. Cheaper too...well cheaper than most cause there's less work in making them. It's the ony wetsuit I've ever owned that looks like I'm going to get 2 winters out of.

I've got Ripcurl E2 springsuit & top only as well. Although I reckon sure they're flexy etc...too flexy almost...they stretch too much once you've worn them 10 times or so.

yeah last years is fine, you don't need the newest things, but anything you get now, last years or not will seem like the best in the world after your decade old one.

I used to surf the LA bay area and the 4/3 heat was great throughout the winter...now though I'm back in Ventura Co. where it is a bit colder year round and especially during the winter. I'm in a 4/3 Psycho I and it is @#* @*$# glorious. The Psycho II seems like overkill and I am without a doubt the biggest whimp when it comes to cold water. So if you're in the 55-60 degree range the Psycho I is perfect (especially if you hate the cold).

I just got myself a new to me (last year's model) psycho 2 6/4 winter suit. most flexible suit I have ever worn and super warm. easier to get in and out of than other winter suits I tryed on as well. even more flexible than my 4mm (dacor). highly reccomend psycho 2, def worth it.
