Hi All,

Two things I'd love any advice on:

Are key safes any good?
If so, Can you recommend one in the UK?

I'm looking for one for my partner and I can't find any decent reviews about their useage, only a couple from the US saying a certain brand or brands are now being broken into :(

Are there any other good options for keeping keys safe whilst in the water?

Thanks,

Soph x

Sophie unfortunately all key safes at any beach or nearby can be broken into.
if you park where vision of your car is obscured more so!
So pak i you can where somebody working to break into your car safe could seen is a start of deterence!
If you partner has a car that has the option for a normal key t( not electronic) that can open the car , there are wearable waterproof silicon or plastic soft cases that can be worn inside his wetsuit!

Hide all valuables from plain sight, another deterrent , most beach thefts are opportunist and often rough justice has some value.

Sad but all true!

Key safes just advertise where your car keys are. Thieves can break most padlock type locks in about 2 seconds flat.

Cling film is all you need. I've been doing it for years and have never once had a water ingress problem. Just make sure you wrap it enough. Rip off about an A4 length sheet and place it flat. Put your key at one end and keep folding it along the cling film. Wrap up the ends and then get another A4 length piece and do the same again.

You can still operate the buttons to open the car through the cling film. Stick the key in your upper arm inside your wetsuit. Revel in your security.
