I have an 11 foot long early 70s Dewey Weber that is no longer seaworthy. I can’t bear to part with it because it was my first longboard. I want to hang it from my ceiling and make it look like its floating there. No visible straps rope wire etc. I want to sink eye bolts into it for the hanging wire. If it was wood you could just put a couple eyebolts in and call it a day. I’m concerned about anything else ripping through the foam and fiberglass. It’s going to be hanging from the ceiling and I don’t need to drop in on anyone’s head. The stringer is only 1/4 wide. Any ideas how to mount the bolts securely?

If you go through the stringer it should be okay. Another option is to make fiberglass loops glassed on to the board
