Buying a cracked but repaired board..?

Postby judahline » Sat Oct 29, 2005 7:32 am

Interested in purchasing a beginner's board; don't mind some dings. Is buying a repaired cracked board a big no-no? Still appears water-tight without discoloration. Board is around $300, 7-8foot mini-tanker and otherwise appears to be in good condition. Is a mini-tanker OK for beginners?

thanks.

one more thing, the crack reportedly involves the stringer.

Personally $300 is a lot for perviously damaged board. I guess the price went up since Clark Foams closed, but look around and be patient. There's killer deals out there i'm sure.
