Dear Surfer Community,

I have had very bad experience with getting back screws into my fin box to attach the fin to the board. Especially if you travel, this is a vary bad.

Do you guys have same experiences, that after several time the thread is worn out?

I have been thinking about building a screw less fin box suitable for future fins.

The question to you guys would be whether you would be interested in suing such a finsystem.

I would appreciate every kind of feedback, even if you think it is a xxxxx idea and I should use my time elsewhere :P

Thank you!

Interesting half my boards have futures systems, never had a problem, some boards are over 10 years old.
There is a potential problem if you cross thread and force the grub screw in either Futures or FCS, the the thread breaks down!

Build your better box patent it and sell it to Futures of brand yourself as a new system.

There “was” a tool-less fin system that sorta looked like Futures Fin, but in reverse. The brand was O’fishl. People till this days looking to for replacement tabs that always broke or fell out.

In this case it would be a fin system that is suitable for future fins. The idea behind it was to make it a nice option for all surfer to have a screw less fin system.

If you have plenty of time and money to spend, do it!. If not, ask yourself why Future Fins have not done it yet.

Actually I do not have the time but it just triggers my mind that it could be nice to have a low cost fin system suitable for future fins without screws. But yeah the question why Future Fins doesn't have done that yet is a nice thing to ask. I guess it has the mentality of "never change a running system"?

Btw I thank all of your for your inputs
