Help! Are these cracks bad?

Bought a used surfboard today, but only noticed these cracks on the rail after I got home. Are these bad? Should I have them repaired before trying to take it into the water?

looks like those might allow water to soak in so should be fixed

Agree, you should fix them. You can do it yourself - if you don’t mind it looking a bit rough then solarez should do the job. Otherwise some sanding and glassing - youtube has the info you need

Of course a shop can also do it
