STAY AWAY FROM RIPCURL HEATSEEKERS

So I just bought a 4/3 Ripcurl Heatseeker. Ordered on Dec. 3rd...arrived last week. After 3 sessions there are distress tears in both left in right shoulders of the rubber. I live in the FL panhandle....and for those of you not familiar.....the waves are 2ft at most and the the ocean bottom is very sandy. This is not high intensity surfing. Ripcurl just notified me that the 4 different tears located on multiple areas of the wetsuit appears accidental and will not be covered by warranty. They said it appears that I rubbed up against a "nail"? I've owned two other dawn patrol suits for multiple seasons and have never had a rip in a suit. I thought going to the upgraded more expensive suit would be at least the same quality.

I'd suggest staying away from the 500 dollar heat seeker as clearly the rubber product on the shoulders and stomach is problematic.

Their advice is you should STAY AWAY from nails.

( can you post a photo of the torn areas )

Could your gf, wife, kids accidentally damage and “forget” to tell you?

I have 4 e-bomb one flashbomb in the range of 3/2 to 4/3 for a couple of years. And, none has issues like yours.

And, judging by my GoPro footage, you never know what hits you:)

And, for the avoidance of doubt “by nails” we all mean your finger nails or another human being nails. Not the metal stuff to be hit by the hammer:)?

I'm on my way to buy a last season heat seeker. Allegedly a 3/2 heat seeker can be warmer than a entry level 4/3.

Winter water temp seems to hover around 55-57 over here.

I would recommend E-bomb!
Heat seekers are too tight. The restriction difference is quite significant.
