How to paint old an surfboard video

Looks awesome! Any tips for someone who is terrible at drawing? I won't be able to draw anything decent, not even remotely close to what you did there even with a reference image.

I've read lots of posts here about painting an old surfboard with Acrylic Based Spray Paint. What about using 'regular' acrylic paint? I mean, those that we usually apply to walls, wood and so on. Can it be used, Acrylic or even Vinyl paints be used in the same way or do they 'attach' the resin?
