Repair worthy? Cracks in the nose

Hi everyone, I ran my PU longboard into the shore dump over and over today being reckless with it and just riding out till the bitter last. Unfortunately I think it must have hit pretty hard in the shallows at some point and there is a patch of new stress fractures on one side of the nose. Curious what people think about cracks like these. I don’t see much in repair articles about this type of thing. My nails don’t “catch” hard but I can sorta feel them. Worth doing anything? Check for water in the future? Thanks.

The stress cracks, maybe waterproof now not flicking or clicking when you drag your fingernails over them.
They will over usage flex a little and become deeper through the glass, they will eventually allow water to be drawn in.
Pretty much an individual call.
There are repairs, which may or may not help, but add weight!
Me I now leave them be!

Thanks, yeah I’m probably just going to leave them for now. At what point can tell if water is seeping in? Would a repair be as simple as sanding down the top layer of resin and re applying a top coat in that area?

Part of the integral strength and waterproofing is the saturation of the woven glass with resin, if the glass fibres are broken then eventually the top coat/ gloss coat will fracture along the cracks and water will penetrate.
If you sand down theatre cracks in the weave will be exposed and only a thin layer gloss coat will be on top..
I have repaired with a wider than cracked area sand back and another layer of glass mat and a new gloss coat .
Adds weight to the board, could be problem is too much weight on the nose.

How do you tell if water is getting in?
Discoloration, feels heavier Do a lip,suck on the cracks if you draw water, it’s in!

Oh and flex marks are less from impact ( that usually is shatters from the point of impact).
And yep,they are flex marks, can also be a result of light glassing
Stress marks come from the board being forced into a flexed position by the wave pushing down . Usually directly across the board at the point where it was

Often boards labeled performance can suffer from extra light glassing :D
Look too on your board for early heel dents and sinking along the stringer which would show a lesser density foam blank.
