Hi.
I know this question gets asked about a million times here, but I need some help deciding what board to get and what size.
I just started surfing this summer and I learned to surf on a 8'0" longboard. I don't want a strictly beginner board so I can get better and use it for a long while.
I was thinking about getting a longboard, a fish, or fish hybrid. I'm about 5ft and 104 lbs. Any suggestions?

To start with you are going to need a board thats atleast 12 inches taller than you, you will want something tall wide and thick really. Since you are 5ft you should be looking at boards about 6"4 and up. I would buy a mini mal if I was you, I think you will find it easier to learn on than a fish and you will progress quicker. A mini mal is ideally the best beginner board to start with.

K cool, you can buy some 7"3 - 7"6 mini mals for a reasonable price thats quite cheap - these sizes would be great for you to catch waves and progress
