How to fill and repair hole in my board with Solarez

Hi riders,
I have two questions regarding a hole in my board (3x3x3)cm, see photo. I had to cut away so much of the PU to get rid of its already destroyed parts.
1st question: Unfortunately I have no idea if my board is covered with polysester or epoxy resins. Of course I don't want to make my board worse by using the wrong repair kit. However, I have read that you can't do anything wrong with epoxy based repair kits as they won't attack if it is an epoxy board after all. Is that right?
2nd question: I had to cut out the area to be repaired quite generously to get the destroyed foam out (see photo). Is it still enough here if I fill up with Solarez for repair or do I need another filler which I put in before and than only cover with Solarez.

If you have any other suggestions for a repair suitable for beginners, just send them too :)
Thank you very much.

Since you said you removed PU foam out of the ding, use the White tube Solarez Microlite Filler first and build up the area. Then cover the area with the Yellow tube "regular" Solarez.

Thanks for your reply waikikikichan. I wanted to order the filler but the description on the MSW homepage says "...you cannot use this kit to repair an epoxy board."
As I wrote with this board I have no idea if it is covered with polysester or epoxy resins. I already tried to find out something about the shaper/type of the board but havent been successfull.
Can you give me any advice on how to select a correct solarez kit?
Thank you very much in advance!

You said you removed PU ( polyurethane ) foam from inside the board.
PU Boards could be glassed with Polyester resin or Epoxy resin.
EPS blanks needs to be glassed with Epoxy resin, since polyester resin will melt the EPS foam.
You can not use the white Solarez ultralite filler on a EPS blank, but it is fine to use on a PU blank glassed with epoxy resin, which you say you have. When they have warnings like that, they're talking about the EPS blank not the resin. It's mainly just for those who have dings on their molded-epoxy boards who don't understand what EPS or Epoxy or whatever is. It just easier for a blanket warning not to use on "epoxy" boards, since most board glassed with epoxy use an EPS blank. Not all, but the majority.

**PLUS**
You can still melt your board with a EPOXY RESIN kit that is designed for EPS boards. If you fill a big cavity with a bunch of repair resin, it might go off hot and still harm the EPS foam. Always do a thinner first layer, to give the foam a skin and seal it up. Let that go off hard THEN build up on top of that. Don't do just one big pour.
