Hi, i have just bought my first board, its a 7'3" Circle One board, which cost me £260 and on the second day of using it, I noticed along the stringer ( i think, the piece of wood that runs down the middle) there is a load of hairline cracks.
I have included some pictures (please click to view larger versions)

Running my nail over the cracks, I can feel a deffinate step on some of them, others are under the surface.
Considering its only been used twice, and is 3 days old, should I be worried and should I take it back to the place i bought it? (which unfortunately is about a 2 1/2 hour drive :-()
Being completely new to the surfing scene, im not sure whether this happens when its fisrt used or whether this isnt a good sign.
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Laurie :-)
I could send someone larger pictures via email if this would help
Thank you
laurie

it's just normal poopee board use.

epoxys are really much more durable

and then when you go into composite

wow

whole nother world.

sand down over the crack and put some resin over it.

i really appreciate the answer, as Im a COMPLETE noob, i'll take it to get repaired (Hopefully this means it wont be that expensive) rather than sanding it down and applying some resin, as I know i'll muck it up!!
Thanks tho :-)

Well I just wanted to say, I contacted Circle One, and explained the situation. I took my board over to their warehouse, and it was replaced without question.
I TOTALLY recomend this company, the guy that I spoke to (Jeff Townsley) was VERY helpful and he helped me out with some other questions. I would have no trouble recommending them, I was really happy with the outcome.

the chap at circle one said there might have been a some problems with it curing too fast which is what caused it.
Problem solved anyway, as he exchanged it no questions.
