Does it need repair? Top coat damage from removing track pad

Hey guys,

I bought a very lightly used board with a poorly placed track pad, so I removed it myself. I peeled it and cleaned the remaining adhesive off with acetone, but it looks like it ate into the gloss coat a little bit because it smudged the pinstriping and made noticeable differences in the deck of the board. I attached pictures so hopefully you can see where the paint ran and the difference between the deck where the track pad was and what it ripped up, vs where it wasn’t.

My question is if I should bring it in and get that coat redone before I put a trackpad back on it? Or is this damage just superficial? I’d hate to take the board out and have it start taking on water after a few sessions because I screwed it up and didn’t get it fixed.

Thanks!

I stick new pads right over the top of something like that.....who cares right? Can't see it. If it bothers you, take some paint thinner and wipe the area down and go over it with a wax comb scrape.
