My 8 ft foam top slipped out of my hands and fell on concrete. It made a crack and Im not sure since this is my first board if it needs repair or if I can continue using it like this. Feedback greatly appreciated!

You should get it repaired. If water starts getting in, it will become waterlogged.

Is it something that can be fixed with a repair kit or do you suggest taking it to a professional?

Put down multiple layers from a HOT GLUE GUN.

Then place some Gorilla Tape. ( use a quarter to unscrew the bolt and fin )

There are things like SPONGEREZ and Shoegoo, that might work on the surface foam, but will melt the EPS / styrofoam core. Make sure the young highschool kid staff in the surf shop who tries to sell you it, knows that.

Def. go with the hot glue and Gorilla Tape (as opposed to Duck tape) at a hardware store or a craft store.
