Nice Flyer...try a more narrow model on your next board...or even the tuff-lite Flyer, my bro just bought it and it is sick. I just bought the K "bling" board...in 6'2". I'll take a pick and post it in a few...

Just wondering!?!? Take a little look around. It seems that everybody, their neighbors, and their grandmother is riding one!

Does anyone know the design concept behind the diamond tail (benefits/disadvantages)?

The diamond tail theoretically brings up the pivot point of the tail approximately 1-2", thus tightening the turning radius. It supposed to be like turning a board that is 1-2" shorter. That was straight up from Merrick.

yeah its supposed to shorten rail area while keeping length to the board. You can burry the rail and piviot off it better than a squash, and it feels kinda like a round tail but not as flowy or stiff.

you really gotta burry the rail though to make it work.

Noooooooooo. Not tight at all. At least not for me, but I'm only 5'9" and about 140lbs. I was riding a 6'3" squash with similar thickness...and my 6'2" K-Board seems way, way looser. Snappier too.

BTW, if you're into pin-tails, my brother bought the step-up at the same time I bought my K-Board. He says it is sick-sick-sick-sick.period.

Yeah, try surfing in Oxnard/Ventura/SB. I'd say 9 out of 10 short boarders ride on Al's boards.
