...Lost Pro-formance durability?

Looking to get a new uber driver from my local surf shop soon. Only thing is that they only sell it with the pro-formance glass job, which I’m pretty sure is just one layer of glass on the deck for performance reasons. Does anyone have any experience with the durability of this? I’m just worried about it being so pressed in in a few months that it won’t hold up anymore. Also I’m a pretty intermediate surfer, I’m not throwing crazy airs or anything like that yet. Thanks guys!

I meant to include that even with three layers of glass the board gets pressure dings where my feet go mostly from doing power turns

Performance comes at a cost. You have 3 choices when buying a board, Cheap, Light, Strong. If the board is :
Strong and Cheap - it won’t be Light
Light and Cheap - it won’t be Strong
Strong and Light - it won’t be Cheap

Think about what the “Pros” use in other sports compared to us normal mortals. Pro Motorcycle racers do a full top end rebuild after ever few races. Normal people just do an oil change every year.

I was once 'feeling up' some boards in the shop and managed to dent a 'performance' board accidentally gripping it too hard. In any case, the Lost website says its a 4oz glass, which is pretty thin and almost certainly will dent (although it has a 'carbon tail patch' which might help for the rear foot). This doesnt make the board unsurfable or 'bad', especially on the deck its mostly aesthetics. But a few dings on the bottom - from rocks or banging against the door frame or whatever - and you are affecting the contours etc.

On the Lost website there are multiple glassing options, up to epoxy carbon wrap. I'm pretty sure your local can order in a special order for you if you want. Or you can probably order direct from Lost if your local wont come to the party.

Not that you necessarily have to get a stronger glassing. So long as you know the issues involved. A light board is not a long lived board, its a performance board. Many surfers are happy (well, willing) to replace their boards every 6 months or so in order to get the best performance. whereas I my boards are all 6+4 with another 4 on the tail. They are heavy weights, but take a lot of effort to ding
