The difference between the E+ and the HDT is that the E+ has a ballistic topsheet on the deck of the surfboard that strengthens it and prevents major pressure dings. The E+ is slightly heavier than the HDT, but that is just because of the topsheet.
The HDT is the same construction as the E+, just without the topsheet on the deck.

I'm looking at these two and I noticed the E+ is a little bit more expensive. Both claims to be very durable for and good for surf schools. Here is a bit of information on how they are made. https://www.nspsurfboards.com/technologies/
I can't tell the difference apart from the price. I would go for the cheaper one unless someone has actually research into which one is better?
