i'm a newbie to the hardware part and had already searched the FAQs but no help...

anyway, i would like to disconnect the wire from the surfing leash's swivel to make a custom leash for myself(and also to research)
but i'm not certain about the structure of the swivel, can anyone provide some ideas? :D :D :D
(the connection part in the red circle as shown in figure below)

There is an it depends part to this. It’s brand dependent!
However some of the ends have a grub screw which works with the same Allen key as the fin grub screws :D

First, you need a tool to unscrew the screw.

Second, start twisting the screw.

After twisting the screw, you will see that.

Then, on both sides of his hands vigorously pulling a rope.

Finally you will see this gadget. This is the secret of the rope rotation.

You probably already have the "tool". The FCS or Futures Fins allen head fin key works for most leashes.

I would NOT totally remove the screw all the way out. Just back it out enough so the swivel can be removed. WHY ? Less chance of the stainless steel screw cross-threading the soft plastic molding, if you so happen to put it back in at an angle.

Yes, under normal circumstances, I will not completely twist the screw. Because this is affecting the safe use of surfboard ropes.I also don't recommend people twisting the screws.
